Italy on the lagoon

Portofino takes its name and its palette from the Ligurian coast: DAMAC has used warm, saturated facade colours in place of the sand tones that dominate most Dubai suburbs. The cluster sits within DAMAC Lagoons, the Mediterranean-themed community the developer is building in Dubailand around a chain of swimmable water. It mixes house sizes more widely than most of its neighbours, with the developer listing three-, four- and five-bedroom townhouses alongside seven-bedroom villas, so one street can hold a first family home and a very large one.

DAMAC also builds a small office address into the cluster, which is unusual in a Lagoons district and aimed at buyers who work from home but want a separate door to do it behind. Around the houses, the community runs on water: lagoons for swimming, sand beaches and waterside leisure rather than the golf-and-parkland formula of the developer's older schemes. DAMAC Hills is adjacent, and the developer states that Lagoons residents are given preferential access to its features.

DAMAC's published delivery date for Portofino falls in 2026, which places the cluster at the end of its construction programme rather than the start. Neither a starting price nor a payment plan is published for it, so both are quoted on request. In the developer's own answers, Jebel Ali School is five minutes away, Mediclinic Parkview Hospital twelve and Mall of the Emirates twenty-four.
